Outstanding Action Items

List of short term items to be purchased/completed:

  • Exhaust fabrication (flanges) Fabricate exhaust and wrap with insulation tape. 
  • New Quiet Muffler and mounting
  • Remote reservoir for brake master cylinder Install heat shield around master brake/clutch reservoirs.
  • Evaporative Canister (maybe not)
  • Paint Chassis
  • Wood/Metal Dash
  • Boost Gauge + others (oil temp, coolant temp, voltage, etc.)
  • Seats (17 inches wide maximum…) – Fabricate – Mount with Sliders
  • Suspension springs (current spring have too high of spring rate–> weigh vehicle, perform calcs)
  • Hood (aluminum)
  • Seatbelt mounts
  • Windsheild wipersmount
  • Remove excess harness wiring
  • Clutch master hydraulic line
  • New Serpentine belt for power steering, alternator, etc.
  • Engine (vacuum hoses, fuel lines…)
  • Mount fenders
  • Rear Tail Lights (turn signals)
  • Brake Lines
  • Troubleshoot Engine Idle Instability
  • Speedometer cable or assembly
  • Paint body/nose/etc.
  • Finalize bolting (suspension, seats, seat belts)
  • Trunk Lid latches
  • Get driving shoes
  • Wiring in trunk
  • Wiring in driveshaft tunnel
  • Trunk plates (attach)
  • Lock nuts for 16 control arm connections
  • E-brake cable – tighten
  • E-brake cable – mount at rear of chassis
  • E-brake cable – crimp cable to e-brake arm
  • Brackets for wiring at right side of engine bay
  • Intake manifold mount modification to clear chassis
  • Brake pedal reinforcement
  • Grommets on brake lines through metal panels
  • Mount coolant hose near steering shaft
  • Steering rack mounting/securement improvement
  • Upper rear upright bolt – new and install washer/spacers
  • install washer and lock nut at lower rear control arm connection to upright.
  • Clean headlight switch for consistent action. (- Ordered a new switch) New switch installed and working.
  • Differential pressure brake switch for indicating brake failure.
  • Fender washers installed where seats bolt to chassis pan.
  • Front and rear bumpers.
  • Reinforce Steering Rack Mount
  • Modify Fuel Tank to Reduce Likelihood of Fuel Starvation (more baffles, fuel well at pickup, new tank…)

 

Wishlist:

  • limited slip differential
  • lighter/newer/better rims and tires
  • heater for interior
  • brighter/led auxiliary lighting
  • shift knob
  • soft top
  • underbody paneling for improved aero/downforce
  • improved radiator (if required)
  • Small intercooler for supercharger.

Long Term Goals:

  • Get structural certification papers (alignment check at shop)
  • Get roadworthiness certification with VIN number
  • Calculate cost of vehicle fabrication/ receipts
